Limited movement and pain in left arm any non-prescription treatment available?
I have had pain in my left shoulder and an MRI was done with the results stating "Mild hypertrophic degenerative changes at the AC joint level with mild bony rotator cuff impingement." In laymens terms, I have been told it is arthritis. Is this correct? Is there any over the counter meds for this as I am concerned about taking any type of steroid. Any information would be appreciated.

impingement syndrome causing limited range of motion?
i fell 2 years ago on a concrete floor, and after a year of the pain gradually progressing so much i couldn't use my arm at all i went to a dr who diagnosed me with rotator cuff impingement syndrome, gave pain pills, recommended surgery and physical therapy, which i never got. a year later the pain is not as bad anymore, but i still can't move my arm above shoulder level, or lift anything over 5 lbs. it's like it's frozen in place. is it too late for some sort of therapy or exercises without surgery to regain the range of motion in my shoulder? i have looked at the other impingement questions and answers and can't find an answer.
i couldn't move it at first because of the pain, now the pain isn't so bad, but it's still frozen, just won't go any further. can you tell me any examples of what kinds of things might happen in PT?

Shoulder surgery question??
I may be going for rotator cuff impingement surgery and i wanna know if its successful or if its worth going. Will my shoulder be better or worse after the surgery?

Is the treatment for a pinched nerve, bursitis, sprain or strain the same?
The doc says shoulder bursitis, the physical therapist says rotator cuff impingement. (pinched nerve). I just wonder if I need an MRI for a diagnosis, or if all these are treated the same. Anyone have experience with this? I see the MD again in 2 days, thanks for your input.

Can anyone offer any suggestions regarding an up coming SSI medical examination?
I need help getting through a disability examination , How can I prove that i suffer from debilitating depression, and crippling pain associated with degenerative spinal disease/ spinal stenosis, herniated cervical disc,with nerve impingement at the c/5,c/6 cervical vertebrae as well as severe pain in my shoulders due to degenerative joint disease rotator cuff impingement., torn ligaments and severely damaged ac joint associated with ac joint separation

Why is my shoulder movement and pain suddenly better?
I have had shoulder pain for about a year (rotator cuff, impingement). I've been going to physical therapy for about a month, and it helped quite a bit with the pain, but not the movement. I did some work outside two days ago, ended up moving my arm too much and had a lot of acute pain. Yesterday I went to physical therapy, and I suddenly have almost all of my range of motion back, and very little pain. I'm not complaining! Did I stretch something out? Did I tear something the rest of the way? Will this improvement last?

rotator cuff pain been to dr?
i was diagnosed with rotator cuff impingement, i.e tendinitis an bursitis. i have done physical therapy an light duty at work but still have pain, will this go away or what is the next step, i think my surgeon is a quack.
i can do all the rotation, its just a sharp pain when i try to pull something, like blankets when im sleeping, also a burn feeling most all the time. i had a m.r.i. done not sure how it read
