Why do Doctors, Lawyers, etc, not listen ? This has become very frustrating and painful. Pls help!!?
I fell @ a friends and hurt myself, since my Dr. was looking after my back, he ignored my fall. 7 mths later I got him to MRI. It showed torn rotator cuffs, tendons torn on both shoulders. I just had surgery Apr.2./07 My fall was July 28/06. The lawyer bit...due to not being able to live on $900.00 a mth., I had to tell my boss, friend that I had to sue his insurance. He took it personal and is now suing me for $13k. (My pays.) He is just doing this to hurt me. He filed in the farthest court he could, knowing that I cannot drive, due to the fall. The 1st lawyer did not keep me up on correspondance, wrote letters without speaking to me, getting my surgeon furious, etc. We did not click when he seemed to believe what the Ins. said, without asking me about anything. He stated things wrong that I had told him. This is the same with the doctor(s). I am now looking for a "go get 'um, contingency, help me while we're going through this lawyer...and a Dr. that really listens. Thanx

I have been diagnosed with impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tendon tear, and bone edema in the anterior most humeral head medially. Can anyone tell me what exactly this is? Edema means swelling, how can u have bone swelling? They have recommended an arthroscopy. Any suggestions?

Help, whats ur opion on medical law suits?
I had surgery on my elbow, 7 months ago, have had bad pain in shoulder since, I was told I have a frozen shoulder, rotator cuff or bicept tendonitis. My elbow is still at a 45 degree angle, pt cant help due to shoulder. Was given MRI last week, Now have been told I have a complete rotator cuff tendon tear, bone edema, and injury to anterior superior glenoid labra. It happened during surgery, I havn't used r arm for 7 months. Elbow was WC, who is responible for elbow, who pays the bill. WC denies shoulder. I really like the Orth Surgeon that did the surgery, and the hospital. I know it wasn't intentional, and I dont want hard fillings. I need surgery on shoulder, Comp wants to settle, but elbow won't straighten until shoulder is taken care of. I have an attn but still don't have any answers. I've never been one to sue or take advantage of anyone. I just want med bills paid, pain to stop, use of arm, and 2 get back 2 work.

Rotator Cuff Tendon Tear...what would YOU do?
I just recently found out that I was born w/ bone spurs (hooks) on each of my shoulders which has caused my right rotator cuff tendon to tear completely in 1/2 which means I need surgery to cut the bone spur off & to screw the tendons back 2gether. My left rotator cuff will tear soon if I dont get the bone spur cut off but also has an inflamed bursa sac that needs to be removed as well. Finances are only allowing me to do 1 shoulder this year and the other next yr. Which shoulder would U get fixed first? I want to get the right one fixed first since its torn, but turns out it has possibly been torn for over a yr already and I just didnt know it. Or would you get the left one fixed first BEFORE it tears? **I guess I just dont know what other problems I could have from living with a completely torn rotator cuff tendon? Does it cause more problems if you prolong getting it fixed? I know this is a doc question but thought I could get some insight from all of U first.

Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Sugery Recovery Questions?
I've had an MRI and been diagnosed with a full thickness rotator cuff tendon tear. After consulting a couple of surgeons I am planning to go ahead with arthrosocpic sugery to repair it. My questions have to do with the limitations I will encounter after the surgery. I work from home as a consultant on contract, and unfortunately do not have any disability insurance that will pay my salary when out of work. Given my current financial state, taking off work for more than a few days would be ruining. My hope is that I can have the surgery on Thursday or Friday to utilized the weekend for recovery time. I know I will need to have my arm in a sling for up to a couple of month, but I should be able to work with just my left arm, as my job entails just using the computer and being on teleconverences. My fear is that the post operative pain will require me to take pain meds that will not allow me to work while on them. Is my plan to work a few days after the surgery realistic? The doctor said I won't be able to drive for 6 to 8 weeks after surgery. Why is this? I don't need to go anywhere other than to physical therapy.
