Treated for neck strain (7 weeks) now being told there is a possible rotator tear?
I was in a car accident approx. 7 weeks ago, and have been being treated for neck strain. I have been to several doctor appointments and physical therapy, and I kept telling them that my shoulder hurt and seemed really weak as well. This was kind of passed over by all drs. and I recently had an MRI for my neck due to still being in pain. After the MRI I was told my neck looked great and has healed, but now I am being told I need to see a different doctor for a rotator cuff tear. I was also told that I need to stop doing all the exercises that I have been doing for my neck due to the fact that I am now supposed to not move my shoulder above horizontal. If this has not been treated, and I have been doing stuff that has been aggravating it (the physical therapy) could the damage be worse now than when I started?
I was hit in the passenger side by someone doing about 50mph. Is it possible that this tore something in my shoulder? I had been treated for tendonitis of the same shoulder about 4 years ago and had not had any problems until the accident.
Just for information, I am not looking for a lawsuit, I am trying to get on with my life as quickly as possible thank you very much!
In addition, should I be worried that I was sent directly to a shoulder surgeon? Just wondering.....just like to stress about stuff I guess!

How do I have my auto injury case reopened.?
2 years ago, I was in a very bad car accident which my vehicle was totaled and I sustained injury to my arm and right leg. I was out of work for 2 months, and due to lost wages and no income and excalating doctor' bills I settled my case. I continued to experience pain in right shoulder and shortly afterwards they found out that I had a rotator tear to the arm. I had to have surgery to repair the injury since then I have continued to have pain to my right shoulder. I am not able to lift anything of weight with my arm or often times unable to lift my arm over my head without pain. I am not sure if at all possible if I can have my case reopened for other medical expenses. Please help

how do i know if my arm is thrown out or it is a rotator tear?
I fell while in Iraq in Dec. '08 and my shoulder has been bothering me ever since. I can work out-pullups, pushups(kinda hurt) and curls, but it hurts immensely when I extend it straight out was if I was about to have wide open arms to give a hug. I can work out but it pops and even though its my dominant arm it feels weaker and has slightly less muscle tone than my other arm when it should be stronger. I have read rotator cuff tear symtoms and it sounds like that. What do you think?

Is going to the chiropractor worth it/real/or is this a quack?
I consulted a chiropractor two days ago, during the consultation i told her taht i have had chronic (3 yr) shoulder pain and she was quick to point out that my shoulders were off balance and my right shoulder was higher/and pulled forward.. Ive had MRI/xray and everything came back negative to rotator tear/etc...BUT the doc said "bicep tendonitis/rotator tendonitis" which seems pretty general as i found out on many bodybuilding forums with others having the same diagnosis with no relief. ANYWAYS
I went this morning to my appointment, she cracked my neck (both sides), lower back (both sides), and she made me lay on my stomach stating she was gunna crack my ribs "back into place" so she pushed into my upper back creating a pop sound for every movement. (is that even possible?)
I am honestly just wondering if this even does anything? Is this all a buncha BS? She said that it would take time for my shoulder to be corrected ( month +).
The advice she gave me was so try new sleeping techniques using pillows to support my lower back and shoulder to relieve stress on the joints.
My mom is the one payin for this its not THAT exp 100$ a month but still the fact that she could possibly be wasting money irks me badly...
Does anyone have any advice for this? P.S> first time ive ever been to chiropractor/any advice would be appreciated.
