My dad has diabetes and wants surgery for a torn shoulder cuff. He's over 60 years old.?
He has diabetes and the doctor wants him to do surgery for a torn shoulder cuff. The pain goes away and comes back and he's had it for years. He's done all excercised and therapy. My friend's dad had diabetes and never recovered. Since my dad is over 60 yrs old and has diabetes he asked for my advice so I came here. Can someone help please??

Anybody know how long for recovery of shoulder rotor cuff surgery?
2 weeks after surgery on my shoulder cuff.I am still having an unbelievable amount of pain and discomfort. I can't sleep more than a couple of hours. I have recovered about 30% of range in movement. I have alot of soreness in the tricep region.(like after a hard workout) And specific pain deep under the incision probably in the joint. I have heard that the surgery is one of the most painful. I believe it. Depression taking hold.Any ideas?

Can a shoulder cuff tear heal by itself?
I'm 21. I do weight training at the gym 3-4 times a week. My left shoulder has been bothering me for about a year now, but recently, it has gotten to the point where I can't even wash my other armpit in the shower, or lift anything over my head... It's really frustrating considering how much I have worked to build and now this happens.. I'm wondering if I leave it alone for a couple of months, will it heal by itself?

Anybody had shoulder cuff surgery and how long a recovery?
I am 67 yrs old and the orthopaedic doctor has sent me for a
MRI and said maybe I should consider shoulder cuff surgery.
I broke my arm near the shoulder when I fell on the ice in Mar. of this year. I'm getting conflicting info from different sources.
I think it is too soon to consider this; any ideas folks?

I have surgery for one week ago and must go to doctor today. Near my underarm on chest but very high between the neck and shoulder cuff and shoulder .

I slipped and fell down a whole flight of steps?
Yesterday I fell down a flight of stairs. I was rushed to a very busy emergency room were I was saw by a resident and rushed out. Diagnosis was a small fragment of cartilage on shoulder/cuff. I also have some soreness on neck and my lower back. I was giving pain pills is their anything else I can do to relieve pain. Hot or cold compress also the MD didn't explain much to me. Does this heal on its own ? I made an appointment with my primary to see if I can Get more answers.
I was asking should i use heat or cold compresses. Since the Dr. didn't really explain does it heal on its own.

how long do calcium deposits last?
I just found out my mom has a calcium deposit in her shoulder cuff. It looks really swollen and she sais it really hurts her. I wanted to know how do you make the swelling go down? , and how long does the calcium deposit take to entirely leave your body?
